The American Heart Association does an amazing job at teaching the public about heart health and stroke prevention. One of the ways they accomplish this across New York’s Capital Region is through their annual Red Couch Tour. Here’s what this event is all about: they bring a simple red couch to a high traffic spot and people affected by heart disease and stroke tell their powerful personal stories to a captivated audience. This year, the Red Couch Tour visited 3 locations: Colonie Center in Colonie, NY; Via Port Mall in Rotterdam, NY; and the YMCA in Saratoga Springs, NY. More than 25 individuals of all ages told their stories of survival, love, and hope.
We captured each stop on the Red Couch Tour in 2018 and created a montage video that shows every person who lent their generous time to be a part of it. The American Heart Association played this video at their annual Go Red For Women luncheon so everyone in attendance could experience the amazing outpouring of information and support.
